Subway: Broadway-7th Avenue IRT Number 1 or 9 train (Local-242nd Street and Broadway) to 116th Street

Bus: Numbers M4, M5, M11, and M104 to West 116th Street The Institute for Research in African-American Studies at Columbia University is located at 758 Schermerhorn Extension. The closest street entrance is on Amsterdam Avenue at the intersection of West 119th Street. To reach the Institute, enter the building on the ground floor off Amsterdam Avenue and take the elevator to the 7th floor. The Institute is located at the end of the corridor, in suite 758.
